This lovely old photograph below shows Mr George Downing in the yard of an House on West Street in the 1930s, when he was approx 21.The bike is an Enfield with a Rotherham registration ( ET ). The bike looks like it's from between 1915 --1925 model.
The Downing family were keen cyclist and still have family members Racing ( see sportsman page) with Russ Downing.
