Below are several photo's of the Carnival Parade to celebrate 100 years of the Thurcroft Colliery Miners Institute,

waiting for passengers. The two men bottom right are sat where the carpark for the Thurcroft Hotel is to be built.

The two paintings below were produced by Mr Keith Arrowsmith, an ex resident of Thurcroft, (Peter Street ).
The paintings were completed in 1971 after Keith attended Sheffield Art College, Keith intends to produce up to
100 prints of the Pit painting and up to 50 prints of The Hotel. both are 19 " x 11 inch, Boarded / Mounted
But not framed, each print cost is £30, free delivery. Keith's number for orders, 01246461506. 07891485797.

This is the promised photo of Thurcroft Salvation Army ladies fellowship group , their premises were located in a large hut at the end of West Street near the Church. There was a flourishing Sunday school, junior band , and junior choir around the late fifties with Sunday school seaside trips and participation in the church Whitsun parade including sports day on the cricket field.
Some of the people on the photo are:- Mrs Bennett,Mrs Wilborne, Mrs Turner, Mrs Barber, ,Mrs Floyd, Mrs Farnsworth , Mrs E Pearson, Mrs Oxley Stephen Oxley, Mrs Flint, Keith Flint, Mrs J Arrowsmith (Secretary) Seated in uniform Captain Bartlett, Brigadier? Then Mrs F Ward and Mrs Smithurst
